14 Elaborate MCU Fan Theories That Actually Make Sense

Half the fun of being a Marvel fan is guessing what’s coming next. With so many hidden Easter eggs, comic book references, and multiverse storylines, the possibilities are endless.

The best fan theories are the ones that make sense without having to reach too far. Fans are sharing incredibly detailed theories about the MCU that are not only interesting but actually logical. Take a look below and vote up the fan theories you agree with.

Vision Doesn’t Exist In Reed Richards’ Universe

Vision Doesn't Exist In Reed Richards' Universe

Upon watching the Doctor Strange sequel, I was initially confused as to why Wanda had no desire to contact Vision as she was dream walking in the Illuminati universe. I realized that Vision’s existence in this universe was completely impossible, as Reed Richards was able to successfully create Ultron.

Since Ultron never turned evil, Vision doesn’t exist. Also, the existence of Ultron as he was intended to be, coupled with just the general presence of Reed Richards, is probably why this universe feels incredibly advanced, despite probably taking place in the same rough time period as the main MCU (Thanos’ conquest seems fairly recent in this universe).

Doctor Strange Knows It’s Not All About Him

Doctor Strange Knows It's Not All About Him

It’s a small thing, but I think our Strange is different because of the last lesson the Ancient One taught him. When the Ancient One is dying and she takes him out of his body during the lightning storm she tells him, “That’s what you never understood, it’s not about you.”

For me this is a central theme of the MCU as a whole, in fact I say to my kids when there’s one of these moments I go, what do heroes know? and they say “its not about them.” Such a valuable lesson but we see it over and over again. Spider-Man proved it, Captain America lived it, Tony Stark stated it with his last act, even Loki learned it when his mother died.

Being taught that by the Ancient One is the lesson that our Strange embodies that no other Stephen Strange ever learned, and it’s why he was able to not be the one holding the knife, because he knew that was the truth and he knew it was a flaw and he couldn’t act on his flaw in the end because first and foremost its not about him.

The Blip From Matt Murdock’s Perspective

The Blip From Matt Murdock's Perspective

The Blip from Daredevil’s perspective must have been very traumatizing. To hear each and every scream and panic, everyone’s instant reaction to people turning to dust, before maybe possibly being dusted himself…

There Was Only One Timeline Where The Eternals Beat The Bigger Threat

There Was Only One Timeline Where The Eternals Beat The Bigger Threat

The events of Eternals only happen the way they do because Thanos’ snap was reversed. Because Thanos’ snap was reversed, Ajak decides that humanity is worth saving. This sets in motion the events of Eternals. In a timeline where the Avengers succeed against Thanos, there is no snap to reverse. In this timeline, Ajak and Icarus never tell the other Eternals about the Celestial sleeping in the Earth’s core and it destroys Earth when it busts out a few years later.

Dr. Strange probably saw hundreds or even millions of timelines where the Avengers actually win, but all of these timelines eventually lead to Earth’s destruction. The only one where it doesn’t happen is the one in which Thanos snaps and then his snap is undone.

Peter Parker Isn’t Completely Forgotten

Peter Parker Isn't Completely Forgotten

There is one person who still remembers Peter Parker.

When Strange is trying to convince Wong to agree to casting the spell at the beginning of the movie, he walks through a portal and says, “Just leave me out of this.” So, Strange did what he asked. Wong was an exception to the spell, and the spell cast at the end of the movie.

Peter Parker still has one friend in Wong.

‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Was Canon In Our Timeline Until They Started Time Traveling

'Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Was Canon In Our Timeline Until They Started Time Traveling

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was canon in “our” MCU timeline until they started time traveling around season 5. When they returned, they landed into a timeline where Thanos was defeated in Wakanda. This explains why Thanos is mentioned by Talbot/Graviton but never mentioned again. Everything that happens from that point on is parallel timeline shenanigans, allowing the show to deviate.

Wakanda Helped With International Policing After The Blip

Wakanda Helped With International Policing After The Blip

The reason the Dora Milaje are able to arrest Zemo and take him to the Raft is because during the Blip, various world governments reached out to Wakanda for their help policing the world. This is what the Dora are doing during the Blip and why they take Zemo to the Raft instead of Wakanda or his old prison.

Hela Got More Powerful The Longer Thor Inherited The Odinforce

Hela Got More Powerful The Longer Thor Inherited The Odinforce

Hela was the oldest child of Odin at the time of his death. She began to inherit the source of his power, the Odinforce, and that’s why she began to grow more powerful the more time she spent in Asgard. It was the place, as well as the inheritance process moving along, that kept boosting her power. When she died, the Odinforce then passed onto Thor who began channeling it through Stormbreaker.

I also think that Mjolnir being a focus for Thor’s innate power served a dual purpose; it got Thor to stop messing shit up, sure, but it also provided valuable training in focusing power through tools that he’d need when inheriting the Odinforce, something Odin himself did not have when learning to manage his own power.
