MGK Claims His Diss Track Was Better Than Eminem’s

Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) is reigniting his long-standing rivalry with Eminem, claiming that his 2018 diss track, Rap Devil, was superior to Eminem’s Killshot. In a recent statement, MGK insisted that people only view Eminem’s response as the better track because of his legendary status, not because of the actual content.

“My diss track was better than Eminem’s. People only say Em’s was better because it’s Eminem. If you listen to both tracks as a neutral, you’ll know I won.”

The 2018 Rap Battle: Rap Devil vs. Killshot

The feud between Eminem and MGK erupted when Eminem fired shots at MGK on Kamikaze. In response, MGK dropped Rap Devil, a hard-hitting track where he mocked Eminem’s age, relevance, and personal life. Eminem fired back with Killshot, a brutal lyrical assault that picked apart MGK’s career and credibility.

While Rap Devil was praised for its aggressive tone and catchy beat, Killshot was widely considered the knockout punch due to Eminem’s razor-sharp wordplay and devastating disses.

MGK Denies Leaving Rap Because of Eminem

One of the biggest narratives that emerged after the battle was that Eminem “ended” MGK’s rap career, pushing him toward pop-punk music. MGK, however, refutes this claim:

“I never departed from rap because of Eminem, I only proved that I’m better than the best. I was only rapping because I wanted to be entertained, and everyone was watching because I outshined the best.”

After the feud, MGK transitioned into pop-punk with albums like Tickets to My Downfall, finding massive success in the rock scene. However, he maintains that he never abandoned rap, arguing that his genre shift was a personal choice rather than a forced exit.

The Debate Continues: Who Really Won?

Years later, fans are still divided on who won the battle. Some believe Rap Devil was more direct and accessible, while others argue that Killshot was lyrically superior.

One thing is clear—whether MGK truly outshined Eminem or not, the feud significantly boosted his visibility and helped shape his career path.

Do you think MGK had the better diss track? Or was Killshot the final blow? 🔥👀
